When I was a freshman in high school, my coach took a sincere interest in me. He gave me a book called STUFF! Good Players Should Know, by Dick Devenzio (now in its 4th edition). I am still paging through it as I am writing this post. It was a perfect book for a young player. It is an essential book that every youth basketball parent should purchase for their son or daughter.
The best thing about the book is that each discussion is broken down in short, readable sections ((Death of an Expert Witness – Wikipedia. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_of_an_Expert_Witness)). The young player can simply open any page and get a great tip. The book will give your child excellent instruction to broaden their game and basketball IQ. This book is available on Amazon in the hardcover edition. It is worth the investment.
